Dr. Reshma M Gopan

CURRENT POSITION

Dr. Reshma M. Gopan is an Assistant Professor at the Dr. Kakarla Subba Rao Centre for Healthcare Management, Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Business Management from Mangalayatan University, Aligarh.

At ASCI, she teaches and mentors PGDM (Hospital Management) students and serves as In-charge Admissions and Faculty Coordinator–Placements. She also serves as Guest Faculty and Program Co-Director for various MDPs and training programs for officials from IRIFM (Railways), ESIC, GIZ, National Health Authority (NHA), State Health Authorities (SHA), insurance sector professionals, and leading hospital groups such as AIG and CARE Hospitals.

A gold medallist in both BDS and MBA (Hospital & Healthcare Administration), she combines clinical excellence with strong healthcare management expertise.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Dr. Gopan holds a BDS from Inderprastha Dental College & Hospital (affiliated to CCS University, Delhi NCR) — awarded “Most Valuable Student” on passing out — and is a permanent member of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) and a registered dentist under the Delhi Dental Council (DDC).

She pursued her MBA with dual specialisation in Hospital and Healthcare Administration from INLEAD, Delhi NCR, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate (Business Management) at Mangalayatan University, Aligarh.

She holds certifications in Six Sigma Green Belt, Disaster Management & Fire Safety (USA), Digital Marketing, Insurance Management, and Soft Skills & Personality Development by AICTE, MSME, and the Government of India.

PAST EXPERIENCE

With over eight years of experience, Dr. Gopan has worked with premier institutions including MAX Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi, and Believers Church Medical College Hospital (BCMCH), Kerala. She handled hospital operations, insurance (Corporate, Private, ECHS, Aarogya Sri), medico-legal cases, and NABH quality processes, and was a pioneer in implementing KASP (Kerala Ayushman Bharat scheme) in hospitals across Kerala.

She has received a special award for outstanding contributions and is a Limca Book of Records awardee for exceptional geriatric dental care provided to destitute elderly patients at Vatsalya Gram, Vrindavan.

CURRENT INTERESTS

Her areas of interest span Hospital Operations, Healthcare Quality, Health Insurance, Patient Safety, HR and Leadership Development, Soft Skills Training, Organisational Behaviour, and Strategic Management. She actively contributes to key projects including Anaemia Mukht Karimnagar (UNICEF), Aarogya Sri costing revision, Telangana Health Vision 2030 Document (FTCCI), Gap Evaluation Study of Government Hospitals with Telangana Health Department and NHM, and evaluation of ABDM integration in Leh, Ladakh.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS

Dr. Gopan is a permanent member of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) and a registered dentist with the Delhi Dental Council (DDC). She is also a Six Sigma Green Belt certified professional.
