Dr. Mohd Mujahed Ali is an Assistant Professor (Finance) at the Centre for Management Studies, Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, where he has been working since July 2021. He has 15 years of teaching experience with MBA students.
At ASCI, he has served as Resource Person for various MDPs including the ONGC Young Leaders Programme on Understanding Financial Statements and Cost Drivers, Finance for Non-Finance Executives for Gujarat State Petronet Ltd and Coir Board (Ministry of MSME, GoI), Basics of Accounting & Finance for AEGCL and TSECL under NERPSIP, and Cost & Management Accounting for Officers of the Finance Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
He is an empanelled Resource Person from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), Mumbai, and has organised over 60 workshops on financial planning and awareness for young investors, executives, homemakers, retired persons, and self-help group members.
Dr. Ali holds a Ph.D. in Finance/Management, an MBA, and an M.Com. His academic formation spans financial accounting, management accounting, and financial econometrics — equipping him to bridge theoretical rigour with applied financial practice across both teaching and research.
He has also been awarded a UGC-sponsored Faculty Development Programme on Financial Econometrics – Theory and Applications (worth Rs 7,00,000), reflecting his standing as a recognised scholar in quantitative finance and econometric methods.
Prior to joining ASCI, Dr. Ali accumulated 15 years of teaching experience with MBA students across institutions, alongside active engagement in research, project work, and industry-facing capacity building programmes.
He developed a comprehensive 6-year business plan for Pawan Hans Ltd (2021), including detailed projections of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements, along with customer analysis, competition analysis, market mapping, strategy formulation, and a funding and marketing strategy. He has also received a grant under the Samriddhi Scheme for entrepreneurship development among rural youth.
His research interests span Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Management, Financial Econometrics, Derivatives, Financial Engineering, Security Analysis and Portfolio Management, and Emerging Markets. He is keenly engaged in financial literacy outreach and investor education initiatives across diverse sections of society.
Dr. Ali is an empanelled Resource Person with SEBI and NISM, Mumbai. He has served as Coordinator and Co-coordinator for AICTE-sponsored national seminars on International Financial Markets and the Role of Financial Services in the Growth of the Indian Economy, and has contributed to UGC minor research projects and national-level financial inclusion workshops.
