Dr. Sibhinath Sandesh

CURRENT POSITION

Dr. Sibhinath Sandesh (PT) is a Senior Consultant – Public Health at the Dr. Kakarla Subba Rao Centre for Healthcare Management, Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad.

He teaches Business Research Methodologies and Public Health for PGDM (Hospital Management) students, and contributes to Management Development Programmes (MDPs) across the healthcare domain.



At ASCI, he supports alumni connects, organises industry sessions, facilitates summer internships, coordinates guest faculty and industry visits, and engages industry experts for the PGDHM batch through thought-leadership activities. He also leads business development efforts β€” identifying, tracking, and writing proposals and EoIs for government and donor community opportunities in the public health space.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

Dr. Sandesh has a strong interdisciplinary academic background spanning physiotherapy, hospital management, and epidemiology β€” positioning him at the intersection of clinical practice and public health systems. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology from the Public Health Foundation of India, New Delhi (2015–2016), a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital & Health Care Management from the Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad (2012–2014), and a Bachelor’s in Physiotherapy from Apollo College of Physiotherapy, Hyderabad (2005–2010).

He is a Certified Quality Improvement Advisor (IHI, Boston), Certified in Health Informatics (IIM-Bangalore), and a Certified Analytic Professional (LinkedIn). He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Telugu.

PAST EXPERIENCE

Prior to joining ASCI, Dr. Sandesh served as Technical Consultant at IQVIA Consulting and Information Services India Pvt Ltd (2018–June 2024), where he engaged with donor agencies including the World Bank, WHO, BMGF, and ADB, and worked with government systems such as MoHFW, NITI Aayog, NHA, and state governments of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Meghalaya, and Uttarakhand.

He served as National Consultant – NUHM at the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (2017–2018), handling thematic areas including Kayakalp, NQAS, immunisation, and M&E. Earlier, at ACCESS Health International (2014–2017), he led quality improvement teams under the Safe Care, Saving Lives neonatal collaborative across phase-one hospitals.

CURRENT INTERESTS

His professional interests lie at the intersection of public health programme management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), health systems strengthening, and quality improvement. He specialises in Maternal and Child Health, Nutrition, NUHM/NHM programme implementation, stakeholder management with multisectoral agencies, and quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. He has demographic experience across Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Kerala, Meghalaya, Puducherry, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu.

Dr. Sandesh has experience handling stakeholders from multisectoral agencies including MoHFW, NHSRC, NHM, State Health Agencies, WCD, UKCDP, WHO, The World Bank, UNICEF, and APMAS. He holds certifications from IHI Boston, IIM-Bangalore, and LinkedIn Learning.
