The Legacy and Governance of ASCI

Founded in 1956 through a collaborative effort of the Government of India and the Indian industry, the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) is an autonomous, self-financing, and public-purpose organization formed to function as a national think tank for policy advice and a preeminent institution for capacity building of practicing professionals in the government, public sector, and business organizations. Over the years, ASCI has grown to become the leading institution in India for management development, research, and consulting in a variety of fields such as healthcare management, public policy, governance, finance, technology, and human development.

ASCI’s Strength in Healthcare Management & the PGDHM Programme

ASCI is known to be the first and foremost institution for practicing managers in India, organizing close to 200 Management Development Programs every year, thereby impacting more than 4,000 professionals annually, with over 115,000 civil servants, executives, and managers being trained so far.
